The history of MHCC can be traced back to its founder, Bill Gaschler, and his 40+ years of experience in the wire harness industry. In 1993, Mr. Gaschler founded what is now known as MHCC when he purchased the Spring Green, Wisconsin, Wiring Harness Division of EWC (formerly known as Electri-Wire Corporation). That business was renamed Spring Technologies, Inc.
In 1999, Spring Green Technologies was purchased by Monona Wire Corporation (MWC). MWC operated the facilities until 2005 when it was purchased by Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (CVG). Noting that a portion of the business mix did not fit the strategic plans of CVG, Mr. Gaschler re-purchased a portion of the business in 2006 and re-named it Midwest Harness & Cable Corporation. Even though the company name was new, MHCC has a long history and proudly offers over 40 years of custom wiring harness and cable assembly experience.
Today MHCC continues to produce large, complex wiring harness and cable assemblies for its customers in its plant in Greenville, Wisconsin. Greenville provides a 22,000 square foot facility in northeastern Wisconsin in the heart of the Fox Valley.
MHCC was recently acquired by Integrated Cable Assembly Holdings (ICA Holdings). ICA Holdings is one of the largest and most diverse manufacturers of specialty wire harnesses, cable assemblies and electromechanical assemblies in the United States. ICA Holdings has a large, fully certified Mexican facility that is available to MHCC’s customers for their higher volume needs.
